Sabarimala protests: Activist succumbs to injuries, Kerala on edge after 2 women enter temple

The Kerala shutdown call for Thursday has been given by the Sabarimala Karma Samiti Samiti. The Antharashtriya Hindu Parishad has also called for a hartal tomorrow.

In the Manjeshwaram taluk the next 24 hours, the Crpc144 prohibits the prohibition of prohibitory orders under the Crpc144 prohibition order .They are ordered to prohibit the joining and immediate repression of violence. All schools, including professional colleges in the Manjeswaram range, will be on leave tomorrow.

Seven police vehicles, 79 KSRTC buses destroyed and 39 police personnel attacked, so far. Most of the persons attacked were women, including female journalists.

The hartal has been called by Sabarimala Karma Samithi (SKS), an umbrella organisation of various Hindu outfits which is spearheading protests against the Supreme Court’s September 28 verdict, and the Antarrashtriya Hindu Parishad (AHP).

The BJP is supporting the shutdown while the Congress-led UDF is observing a “black day”. - PTI
